Bob Ryan

Bob has over two decades of experience in the investment advisory business. His areas of specialty include: Fee Based Investment Management, Financial Planning, Retirement Planning (including 401-K rollovers), Corporate and Small Business Retirement Plans, and Tax-efficient investing for high income earners.

Bob is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and an Accredited Investment Fiduciary®. Bob received a B.A. in Economics from Wake Forest University in 1982. Prior to Ryan Investment Management, he began his investment career with J.C. Bradford & Company after relocating to Spartanburg in 1995. In addition to his investment experience, Bob has a deep understanding of business management, having worked with top firms including Fluor and 3M.

Bob and his wife, Dr. Mary Joan Black, have three daughters, Kelly, Brenna and Patricia. Community involvement is very important to Bob, who coaches youth basketball and is a member of the Spartanburg County Medical Society Alliance. He previously served on the Board of Directors at the Children's Advocacy Center and the American Red Cross locally, as well as the United Way Board in Florida.

In his spare time, Bob enjoys ACC basketball and fishing.
